It was the second day of our 4 day long weekend. This time we decided to the short trek up Thimmappanna Betta. This is a hill situated in located in a village around Ramanagara and is around 75kms from our home in Bangalore. Our son decided to join us on this trek.

We left early in the morning from home and we began our climb at around 8:50am. Here is the view from the car as we got close to the hill:

The climb up is itself very short and easy. The main attraction is the Jodi Bandegalu (Twin Rocks) that can be seen at a distance.

We climbed down this hill and then climbed up the next one to get closer and then back again. Here are some photos from our visit:

Info for planning
Here is some information in case you are wanting to plan a visit there:
- The climb is very short and is very easy. Anyone can do it, especially if you do not want to go down the hill and climb the opposite hill. Doing that too, just had the total trek become 1.35km with an ascent of 50m.
- We had parked at an open site close to the Shri Bettada Thimmappa Swamy Temple. You can do the same too. Please be aware, the will charge a small parking fee (around Rs. 50 if I remember correctly).
- To get there use the Google Maps location https://maps.app.goo.gl/JtD3Wdaasj4RaDTA8
