Have you heard a tiny bird singing and been amazed? Well I have. Hearing a bird singing is always wonderful. I find it amazing how some small birds can make quite a varied range of sounds (calls, songs), and that too pretty loudly. The start of the breeding season just heightens their singing. This post is about seeing Clamorous Reed Warblers singing for quite a bit during a visit to a lake not too far from where I stay. To me it felt like the birds were “singing in” the breeding season šŸ˜€ .

The Clamorous Reed Warbler is one (or probably only) warbler that is seen throughout the year around where I stay. This means they also breed around here. It is a sizeable bird for a warbler and is difficult to miss when it can be seen flying around reeds and sometimes even onto the trees on the water edges. They are definitely difficult to miss when the perch openly on a reed blade and continuously sing šŸ™‚ .

On this particular outing, there were several of them singing away from different parts of the lake. But there was one particular one who gave us the best views as it was on a reed patch close the lake bank. Here is the chap that I speak of:

Here are some photos while the little chap was singing away:

Photos can only do so much. You have to see it in action live. The next best thing is of course to have video of it doing so. Here is one that I made of it:

Have you seen birds singing? What did you feel like when you heard one? Let me know through your comments to this post.
