My wife tells me that Birding changed me; from a person who could be found sleeping late into the morning and not wanting to do anything much on weekends to one who can’t wait to wake up and leave well before sunrise to Bird.

Yes, I have been bitten by the Birding bug! What started out as an intrigue very quickly turned into my passion. Now I can’t wait to go for my next birding trip. Birding has given me so many good things in my life. It has given me a set of very good friends. Birding allows me to be “in the moment” and takes away all other thoughts for that period.

My name is Thomas. I am an Information Technology Consultant by profession.

About this Blog

My passion for Birding takes me to many locations. Some have been easy to find and some not. As a birder I always try and read up on the locations before I head out there, especially if they are places that I have not been to before. The information that I look out for when reading about locations, in addition to the personal trip logs,  are tips to get there, potential bird lists, do’s and don’ts, etc..

Part of this blog is an attempt to capture the highlights of my Birding trips. I intend to also include (towards the end of posts) as much useful information as I can on the places as well as some pictures and videos. My hope is that people who intend to visit the same places will find the information useful.

My family and I love taking long trips. I also intend to cover the highlights of such trips. In these too, I will try to cover information that will be useful for travelers planning to undertake a similar trip.

Beyond Birds and Travel

The COVID-19 related lockdowns in the year 2020 has fueled my interests aspects of the natural world beyond just birds. The amazing aspects that I have been lucky to see has motivated me to share it to the world. In order to do so, I have created a new blog. You can see here. Do visit it.
