The Nile Cruise is one of the most essential parts of any trip to Egypt, especially if you want to get a sense of what life is around the lifeline of the ancient world. It is also a great way to visit many of the famous historical sites and monuments.
During the cruise, you are onboard the cruise boat for around 3 nights and 4 days. The boat goes either from Aswan to Luxor, or the other way around, i.e. Luxor to Aswan. The boat docks at key places enroute. You then have chance to explore the local sites and monuments along with your local guide, if you have engaged one. Here is a view of the map that it follows:

Here is what a typical cruise boat looks like:

The lowest deck is usually the dinning area. The next 3 levels are where the guest rooms are. Each room has its own ensuite bathroom. Here is a view of the hallway and how the room looked like.

Each room has got a large floor to ceiling glass window; a great place to look out and enjoy the views and breeze as the boat goes on its journey.
The upper most deck has a wading pool, deck chairs and and a covered area to sit and relax as well as has some gym equipment if one feels like working out.

Every time we came back to our rooms after a local site visit, we would see that our rooms had been made. The towels would be shaped in some creature 😀.

When the cruise is on its journey on the Nile, it is really nice to be on the deck and just look out. Here are some views from there:

The evenings can be beautiful too.

You can also explore the place once the boat has docked.

Summary
Well what is the verdict?
- It was worth the experience. They have got their act together. Everything was well organised in the cruise itself.
- The meals are all included. And the spread is very good. Even vegetarians will find plenty of choice. You of course have to be open to trying out local cuisine.
- They also have an entertainment shown on one of the nights. It gives you a snapshot of some of the local culture. We enjoyed it.
- When the cruise is on its way, make it a point to go up on the deck and enjoy the views.
Beautiful blue sky and water…no birding?
